2300 Operation of College Bookstore and Food Services
In accordance with the provisions of the Education Code,
Section 81676, 91少女, under the direction of the
Superintendent/President, or designee, may establish and
operate a College Bookstore and a College Food Service.
The establishment and operation of a College Bookstore and
College Food Service are essential to the interests of the College
and its students. The Governing Board acknowledges this need
and, under it authority in Section 87106, Education Code,
resolves to provide such services, either by the College itself or,
in the discretion of the Board, by a qualified vendor.
Personnel necessary for such operation, as recommended by the
Superintendent/President, except for students and substitutes,
are members of the classified service. Students enrolled in the
College may be employed for temporary service.
Operational costs of such services shall be paid from revenue
earned from the operation of these facilities. Monthly operational
reports shall be prepared and submitted to the
Superintendent/President.
The disposition and accounting and revenue and expenditures of
the bookstore and food service operation shall be prescribed by
Budget and Accounting Manual of the California Community
Colleges. Annual audits of records and accounts of the College
Bookstore and Food Service shall also be provided by the
Governing Board as prescribed by law.
